Amigurumi counter & patterns

Tap anywhere on your pattern to count. A highlight follows the round you’re on, with row notes, color changes and an Apple Watch app with Undo.

About Skein

Skein is the calm, crochet-first counter for makers. Open your pattern, tap anywhere to count a stitch, and let a highlight follow the round you’re on. Turn on count mode in the pattern reader and every tap on the page counts a stitch. A two-finger tap undoes one. Import a pattern as a PDF or an image, confirm its rounds, and tap Start counting. A highlight tracks the round you’re on and scrolls the page along as you count. Add a note to any round, or mark a color change, and Skein shows it when you reach that round, so you never miss the swap. Count stitches from your wrist, take one back with Undo stitch, and move to the next round. Log the stitches you counted in a round and Skein compares them with the round’s target, so you can catch a missed increase before you move on. Skein is free for up to 3 active projects, with count mode, pattern follow, row notes, color changes, Count Sound and the Apple Watch app included. Skein Pro unlocks unlimited projects and counter-intelligence: auto-advance, every-Nth, repeat blocks. Skein Pro is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, with a 7-day free trial.
