Overview

A Bible Verse: Daily is the ad-supported edition. It has no account and stores nothing about you, but it serves ads through Google AdMob and handles its optional Remove Ads purchase through RevenueCat. It has no analytics or crash-reporting service of its own. The paid edition carries no advertising SDK at all.

This Privacy Policy is specific to A Bible Verse: Daily and explains what information the app handles and how. Your content is stored only on your device. For our company-wide policy, see the Pixel Fox Studio Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

A Bible Verse: Daily does not require an account. We only receive your name or email address if you choose to contact us for support.

Automatically Collected Information

  • Data Google AdMob collects to serve and measure ads, including device and advertising identifiers, coarse location, and ad interactions (see Third-Party Services below)
  • Your purchase status, held by RevenueCat against a random app user ID (see Third-Party Services below)

A Bible Verse: Daily has no analytics or crash-reporting service of its own.

Subscriptions & Purchases

A Bible Verse: Daily is free to use. It includes an optional one-time Remove Ads purchase. The purchase is processed by Apple, and your Remove Ads status is managed through RevenueCat so it can be restored on your devices. RevenueCat holds that purchase record against a random app user ID — not your name or email address — and we never receive your payment details, which are handled entirely by Apple.

  • Collect precise location data or contacts

Third-Party Services

A Bible Verse: Daily relies on the following services. All maintain strong privacy standards; data you keep on your device or in your private iCloud is never shared with them beyond what is described here.

Google AdMob & User Messaging Platform (Advertising)

  • Purpose: Serving ads in the free, ad-supported editions, and asking for your consent where the law requires it
  • Data shared: Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier, along with coarse location, device and app data, ad interactions, and diagnostics. The app's privacy label lists Device ID, Coarse Location, Advertising Data, Product Interaction, and Performance Data as linked to you, and crash and other diagnostic data as not linked. Only the free editions include ads; the paid editions contain no advertising SDK.

  • Purpose: Process and manage subscriptions and in-app purchases
  • Data shared: Your purchase history and subscription status, linked to a random app user ID (not your name, email address, or Apple ID)

  • Purpose: App Store payments and CloudKit sync
  • Data shared: Payment information (handled entirely by Apple); iCloud data stays in your account

Pixel Fox Image Server (dailybread-image-proxy.vercel.app)

  • Purpose: Supplies the background photo for your verse
  • Data shared: To pick a photo, the app asks our image server for a random image, sending the same fixed values every time and no app key. It sends no account, user ID, device ID, location, or verse text. The server replies with the address of a photo we store with Cloudflare, and the app downloads the photo from there. Like any web server, Vercel (which hosts the image server) and Cloudflare (which hosts the photo files) see the IP address and user agent of each request. The image server's own logs record the request path without its query string, the category of each photo served (and, when no photo matches a requested theme, that theme), the response status and how long it took, and the IP address and user agent only when a request carries an invalid app key. It keeps no record of you: the only thing it stores per request is a running count of how often each photo has been served, and it limits request rates in memory only, without storing them. It uses no analytics, advertising or error-tracking service. Because the request has no app key, that rate limit is per IP address. If our stored copy of a photo is unavailable, the app may load that photo directly from Unsplash or Pexels, which then see your IP address.

Data Retention

  • On-device data: Kept until you delete it or remove the app. iCloud-synced data is retained in your own iCloud account.
  • Purchase records: Retained as required for financial and tax records.
  • Image server logs: Kept for a limited time under the hosting providers' standard log retention.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access & portability: Your data lives on your device — you can view and export it directly in the app or through iOS.
  • Deletion: Delete entries in the app, or remove the app to delete its on-device data.

If you are in the European Union (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have additional rights, including to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact hello@pixelfoxstudio.com.

Data Security

We use appropriate technical safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS for any data in transit and on-device encryption provided by iOS. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but keeping your data on your device by default is our strongest protection.

Children's Privacy

A Bible Verse: Daily is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact hello@pixelfoxstudio.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice in the app where appropriate.
